What is an ONLINE Speed Dating Event?
It is traditional speed dating brought to your door step by your mobile, tablet or computer - anywhere you would like. Just as with in-person events, you’ll have a host to assist you with anything or anyone, be able to privately chat with a new dater every 8 minutes and select those whom you fancy meeting again. All this from the comfort of your living room or in any other low key environment.
How do I reserve my place?
Simply choose the event you wish to attend from our event schedule and purchase it online.
Upon purchase, you'll be sent a confirmation email with details on how to attend your virtual speed dating event.
Can I attend it via a mobile phone, tablet or computer?
Absolutely! Just ensure your camera and microphone are turned on and working. All you need is an e-mail adress and a device where you can use ZOOM.
For example, you can use our app on your mobile and ZOOM on your tablet or computer.
Which email should I use to register?
Please use your private email. We do not recomment using your business email. And you certainly must have access to it and remember your password.
What happens to my personal information after the event?
The email address you registered with will be shared with your match within 24 hours after the event. The daters who garner matches will be notified about it at around this time. However, you can email your request to delete all your personal data at [email protected] at any time.
What is the advantage of using Personal Matchmakers in Online Speed Dating?
The role of a Personal Matchmaker is to improve the chances of our clients for better matches. After all the participants have completed their personal profiles, we will study them and give each of you a tip on which dater could be most compatible with you in our opinion. You will be paired with the three best prospective matches in the first three rounds of our speed dating event. However, our opinion may differ from your own! We show possibilities, you make your own decisions! If we see other ways the participant can find their match, we will always try and make it possible.
Will I be able to chat privately with my date?
Of course! Upon entering the event you will be in our virtual lobby, where our Host will welcome you. Once daters have arrived in the room, the Host will begin placing daters into their own private rooms, two at a time. From there you’ll rotate in and out of a private room, meeting a new dater every 8 minutes. If you have no date in a round, you will stay in the lobby and have a chat with the Host and other participants. Look at it as a great opportunity to meet someone spontaneously!
Will there be someone to assist me?
The moment you enter your virtual speed dating event, our Host will be there to welcome you and assist you with any questions, concerns or thoughts. You can reach your Event Host at any time during the event via private chat.
What if I meet someone who isn’t being the best version of themselves?
We have less than zero tolerance for any behavior that is upsetting, indecent or troubling. If you experience such behavior from a fellow dater, simply notify the Event Host. Our Host will be available and easily accessible throughout the evening.
How do I choose someone I fancy meeting again?
Throughout the evening simply give us feed-back via our App. When the event is over, all the participants will be providing us with feedback for as long as 24 hours. If someone you are interested in expresses their mutual interest in you, our app will automatically connect you via email, so that you can arrange for a date.
What if I want to exchange contacts with a date at the event without waiting for the match results?
We do discourage asking for contact information during the event. One of the many advantages of speed dating is not having the awkwardness of declining such requests. Daters should feel comfortable and relaxed knowing if they wish to meet a dater again, they can choose to do so at their own pace by sending their choices to the Host.
What if I have a date?
It means you have a match! You selected each other as daters you would fancy meeting again. The email address you registered with will be exchanged with this person within approx. 24 hours after the event. Only daters that garner matches will be notified.
What if I do not have a date?
If there is no mutual interest in dating you among the participants after the event, you can participate in another speed dating event one more time at no additional cost. You can either choose another event on your own or trust us to invite you to the event we consider a better opportunity for you to meet more potential matches among new participants.
How do I get invited to complimentary virtual events?
The clients of Date for 2 who have used our personal match-making services may get invited to our virtual events if we see potential matches for them among the registered participants. What is considered inappropriate behavior that can result in a ban?
While we appreciate dating as highly emotional activity, we have zero tolerance for any behavior that upsets your fellow daters, our hosts or our staff before, during or after the event. Bad behavior, manners or poor etiquette includes but is not limited to:
-being rude or aggressive with the other guests and/or Event Host
-not following the Host's instructions
-disrupting the event in any way
-dressing inappropriately
We put a great value in the feedback we receive from daters about fellow daters.
Singles may have different opinions on whom they find attractive, what they are looking for in a mate or their personal goals but being nice and polite is universal. We don’t tolerate any less and we don’t believe you should either.
What happens if the event is sold out?
We wish we could accommodate everyone! However, fun sells very quickly! You can email at [email protected] if you wish to be put on the waiting list. And it is a good idea to keep checking back on our website - sometimes reservations become available at the last minute. We are continually updating our event calendar.
How many people will I meet?
Date for 2 online events vary in size, we may have between 14-24 singles who register for any given event.
Will I be recorded?
Absolutely not! Daters can feel secure in knowing that any information or details exchanged in private chats will not be recordered and what you share with your fellow daters at your own discretion will stay private.
